Statistical indicators used in the technology analysis - the number of published papers, papers per specific category, activity level index, citation index, and level index - are generated based on the research entity (a researcher, a research organization or a country) that actually created the target research outcome. Information on relations between a research outcome and a researcher, a researcher and a research organization, and between a researcher and a research country is expressed with an ontology. By assigning relational attributes (transitive, inverse, and symmetric), research outcomes by individual research entities can be understood more systematically and managed more efficiently. This application shows the service through which a user can select a research outcome to be analyzed via a search or by selecting a specific field, and choose items associated with the outcome to be used for analysis. The service then dynamically generates statistical tables and graphs for the user. A bibliography of a research outcome (papers, patents, or research reports) is generated as a RDF triple and then stored in a triple repository. Various additional relations (keyword-major researcher, keyword-major research organization, researcher-researcher, and research country-research country) can be easily identified by extending relational attributes centering on relations among primary items (research outcome-keyword, research outcome-researcher, researcher-research organization, researcher-research country) through Semantic Web's reasoning. Service components show relation networks and a browsing service for major research organizations based on co-occurrence of keywords and co-authorship centering on research outcomes. A researcher's co-authorship network provides information on the researcher's research groups, number of co-researches among researchers, and the central researcher of the researcher network. Also, information on major research organizations is linked to a map in the map information service, enabling users to view the current status of major research organizations by region. An ontology is a technology that maximizes information links and recyclability through joint use of proprietary resources. In this study, URI is assigned to enable connection with linked data while providing a SP ARQL end point service, in order to support linked services with various semantic resources of outside organizations. Thanks to their high recyclability, the resources accumulated with the ontology can be easily utilized not only in the nano technology field but also in other areas. In addition, utilization of existing resources can be maximized by linking them with semantic resources such as DBPedia or DBLP. Heuristic rules can be managed with more flexibility by managmg the user's heuristic rules (e.g. determination of a research country based on the physical address, email domain, and Internet domain of the author's organization) used in the analysis of research outcomes as ontology rules. Meanwhile, a more accurate analytical statistics service can be provided by managing authority data involving organizations, countries, journals for publications, and researchers, which affect analytical statistics, as well as with an ontology and by reflecting them in creating a representative name.
