Abstract

Korea@Home 구축 지원을 위해 당해연도에는 다음과 같은 연구개발 내용 및 범위를 갖고 수행한다. 가. 인터넷기반 분산컴퓨팅 플랫폼의 확장 및 구축 1) 분산컴퓨팅 플랫폼의 확장 개발 및 운영 ● 기구축 플랫폼을 자율/지능형 플랫폼의 확장 개발 ● PC 기여 자원의 안정적인 지원 및 서비스 ● 정보보호관리체계(ISMS) 인증의 유지 및 관리 2) 이기종 자원 기여 환경 구축 ● 운영체제 및 하드웨어 독립적 분산컴퓨팅 환경 구축 ● 윈도우/리눅스/유닉스 자원의 통합 서비스 개발 ● IPv6 활용 서비스 제공 3) 플랫폼 패키지화 ● 컴포넌트 통합형 패키지를 위한 설계 및 분석 ● 중소규모의 연구조직을 위한 패키지 개발 나. 분산응용의 발굴 1) 범용 응용 인터페이스 개발 ● 거대 분산응용의 고도화 ● 범용 응용 인터페이스 분석 ● 응용 API 설계 및 기초 구현 2) 다양한 분산응용의 발굴 적용 ● 기상, 바이오, IT 분야의 응용 발굴 다. 컴퓨팅 파워 창출을 위한 PC 자원의 확보 1) 홍보 및 이벤트 ● 배너광고를 통한 회원 및 자원제공 PC 유치 ● 자원제공의 보상과 활성화를 위한 이벤트 진행 2) 컴퓨팅 파워 창출 ● 컴퓨팅 파워 창출을 통한 분산컴퓨팅 방식의 효율성과 가능성 입증 ● 안정적 컴퓨팅 파워 창출 체계 마련

This research has the following research scope to construct Korea@Home in this year. 1) Extension of Internet-based distributed computing platform a) Platform development extension and operation ● extension of existing platform to the autonomous and intelligent platform ● stable service of PC resources ● maintenance of ISMS (Information Security Management System) b) Technology development and implementation for the use of heterogeneous resources ● OS and H/W independent distributed computing environment ● integrated distributed services on Windows/Linux/Unix ● IPv6 enabled distributed computing platform c) Platform package ● analysis and design for a component-based package ● development of a distributed computing package for small- scale institutes 2) Distributed Applications a) Development of general-purpose application interfaces ● intensiveness of large-scale distributed applicationㄴ ● design of common application interfaces ● basic implementation of application programming interfaces b) adoption of various applicationㄴ ● Meteorology, Bio, IT area, etc. 3) Acquisition of PC resources a) Promotion and events ● publicity of banner on Internet portal sites ● reward for contribution of PC resources b) Computing power ● demonstration of the effectiveness and opportunity for distributed computing by getting enough valuable computing power ● provision of a stable computing power system
