This research has the following research scope to construct Korea@Home in this year. 1) Extension of Internet-based distributed computing platform a) Platform development extension and operation - extension and improvement of existing platform(Server, Agent) function - extension of P2P Network Topology/Architecture/API - OS and Hardware independent distributed computing environment - applied to the newest PC trend such as CPU, OS - study on Open Distributed Computing Systems based on Open Source b) Support for active Distributed Computing Environment - Testbed Construction of User-Created Computing Environment based on Web Service Open API - Web broker supporting an URL with REST architecture - Taking the Efficient with Group management in the server module c) Platform package - analysis and design for a component-based package - development of a distributed computing package software for small-scale institutes 2) Distributed Applications a) Development of general-purpose application interfaces - intensiveness of large-scale distributed applicationㄴ - design of common application interfaces - basic implementation of application programming interfaces b) adoption of various application - Biology, Meteorology, Mathematics, Physics, IT areas, etc. 3) Acquisition of PC resources and preparation for industry revitalization a) Promotion - reward for contribution of PC resources and carry out events - distribution of promotional brochure for contributor - join in IT exhibitions recorded to '2007 and advertisement of Korea@Home b) Acquisition of Computing power - demonstration of the effectiveness and opportunity for distributed computing by getting enough valuable computing power - promotion of technical cooperation for a field of IT business application
