한국조류분포 DB 구축에 관한 연구

Abstract

I. 제 목<BR/>한국조류분포 DB 구축(Korea Bird Distribution Atlas DB)<BR/>II. 연구개발의 목적 및 중요성<BR/>한국조류분포 DB (Korea Bird Distribution Atlas Database)의 구축목적은 기존 학술조사자료와 연구기관별로 분산된 지역 조류조사자료를 통합, 하나의 DB로 수렴하여 관련 연구자나 일선 보호관련 행정기관의 정책입안시 공신력 있는 참고자료 DB로서의 기능을 지향하며 아울러 학술지나 보고서 형태로 출간되기 어려운 단편적인 조사나 기타 미발표 조사자료가 한 곳으로 집중될 수 있는 공간을 제공하여 자칫 일부 연구자의 개인적인 관찰기록으로 사장(死藏)될 수 있는 자료들을 이용 가능한 자료의 형태로 전환하는 부가적 이점을 DB구축의 주목적으로 한다.<BR/>III. 연구개발의 내용 및 범위<BR/>DB구축 대상 조류종은 현재까지 한국에서 기록된 모든 조류(440종)이며 일부 희귀종의 경우를 제외하고는 1980년대 이후 국내에서 수행한 조류관련 조사자료를 취합하는 것을 원칙으로 한다. 출판물 형태의 자료원 외에도 관련 연구기관의 비정기 조사자료도 구체적인 조사일시와 조사자에 관한 정보를 첨부하여 전체 DB내에 수렴한다. 전체 DB는 크게 조류조사정보 DB(지역 조류상 조사)와 조류분포도 DB로 나뉘며 전체적으로 Web GIS적 접근방법을 취한다.<BR/>IV. 연구개발결과 및 활용에 관한 건의<BR/>야생동물관련 연구자의 연구계획 수립시 연구예정지역이나 대상 조류종의 최근 조사·연구결과 검색이 하나의 웹사이트에서 검색이 가능하며 각종 환경영향평가사업이나 지방자치단체의 자연자원 조사사업에 있어 초기 사업범위나 대상 종 선택에 있어 이미 조사된 지역에 대한 기초자료를 확보, 중복된 예산투입 방지와 효과적 조사경비 지출의 참고DB로서의 기능을 지향한다.<BR/>

Ⅰ. Titlle<BR/>Korea Bird Distribution DB<BR/>Ⅱ. Aims and Significance of the Korea Bird Distribution DB(KBDA DB)<BR/>Aims of the Korea Bird Distribution DB are intended to integrate published bird distribution data and regional bird faunal survey of different research institute and converge the whole bird faunal data pool into a unified DB. This unified DB can be served as a reference DB to environmental administrative decision maker. In addition to the reference DB function, KBDA DB intend to accumulate unpublished bird faunal survey data and convert the data into some available format to researchers.<BR/>Ⅲ. Data source of the Korea Bird Distribution DB<BR/>KBDA DB include the published or unpublished bird distribution data of 440 bird species, recorded in Korea. Except some rare bird species, main data source of KBDA DB are most recent avian faunal survey since 1980s. Other data source include the irregular or occasional bird observation records of related research institute. These data can be stored with some necessary information, such as observation date, the observer(s) and other detail observational situation, KBDA DB is comprised of bird survey information DB(regional bird faunal data) and the geographical information of the habitat. As a whole, KBDA DB will be served as a sort of bird distributional Web GIS DB.<BR/>Ⅳ. Applicative Suggestion of the Korean Bird Distribution DB<BR/>KBDA DB can be used as the reference DB to the wildlife researchers who want to know the preceding faunal work. And KBDA DB can provide the ground data for judging the applicability of the environmental effect assesment or the selection of species in regional natural resource research.<BR/>
