휴먼 디지털 트윈은 인체를 디지털 월드에 재현한 것이다.
휴먼 디지털 트윈으로 인체의 신체적, 내면적 부분을 디지털 월드에 재현하고, 시뮬레이션 기술을 적용함으로써 실제 사람을 대상으로는 할 수 없는 다양한 업무를 지원할 수 있다. 이러한 업무로는 인체에 대한 각종 진료·진단 결과를 예측하는 임상 결정의 지원이나 의료진의 임상 교육 및 각종 수술 시뮬레이션 등 다양한 업무에 활용될 수 있다.
이번 원고에서는 특히 의료분야를 대상으로 국내외 휴먼 디지털 트윈 기술의 기술 현황 및 활용 사례, 발전 방향에 대하여 논의한다.
