dc.description.abstract
The second-generation of gravitational-wave detectors are just startingoperation, and have already yielding their first detections. Research is nowconcentrated on how to maximize the scientific potential of gravitationalwaveastronomy. To support this effort, we present here design targets fora new generation of detectors, which will be capable of observing compactbinary sources with high signal-to-noise ratio throughout the Universe.
