A Study of Conversion System Considering Characteristics of Thesis Metadata for Integration

Abstract

To analyze a great amount of metadata which is collected from diverse sources, it is essential to integrate the metadata in different structures and forms. This study proposes a conversion method specializing in thesis metadata based on the data after analyzing the schemas of the thesis metadata which are collected from 10 major publishing companies from the syntax, semantic and content rule aspects. We designed a convenient conversion system from the method. It has been proven that the implemented system is easy to use and appropriate to the integration of thesis metadata through usability evaluation.
