Search for a Higgs Boson in the Diphoton Final State in p\bar{p} Collisions at \sqrt{s} = 1.96 TeV.

Abstract

AsearchforanarrowHiggsbosonresonanceinthediphotonmassspectrumispresentedbasedondata correspondingto7:0fb1ofintegratedluminosityfromppcollisionsat ffiffiffis p ¼1:96TeVcollectedbythe CDFexperiment.Noevidenceofsucharesonanceisobserved,andupperlimitsaresetonthecross sectiontimesbranchingratiooftheresonantstateasafunctionofHiggsbosonmass.Thelimitsare interpretedinthecontextofthestandardmodelandonefermiophobicbenchmarkmodelwherethedata excludefermiophobicHiggsbosonswithmassesbelow114GeV=c2ata95%Bayesiancredibilitylevel.
