Search for $WZ+ZZ$ production with MET + jets with $b$ enhancement at $\sqrt{s} = 1.96$~TeV.

Abstract

Dibosonproduction(WW+WZ+ZZ)hasbeenobservedattheTevatroninhadronicdecay modesdominatedbytheWWprocess.Thispaperdescribesthemeasurementofthecrosssectionof WZandZZeventsinnalstateswithlargeETandusingb-jetidenticationasatooltosuppress WWcontributions.Duetothelimitedenergyresolution,wecannotdistinguishbetweenpartially hadronicdecaysofWZandZZ,andwemeasurethesumoftheseprocesses.Thenumberofsignal eventsisextractedusingasimultaneousttotheinvariantmassdistributionofthetwojetsfor eventswithtwob-jetcandidatesandeventswithfewerthantwob-jetcandidates.Wemeasurea crosssection(ppWZZZ)=5:8+3:6 ?3:0pb,inagreementwiththestandardmodel.
