Search for Higgs Bosons Produced in Association with $b$-quarks.

Abstract

WepresentasearchforneutralHiggsbosonsdecayingintobb,producedinassociationwithbquarks inppcollisions.Thisprocesscouldbeobservableinsupersymmetricmodelswithhighvaluesoftan. Theeventsamplecorrespondsto2:6fb1ofintegratedluminositycollectedwiththeCDFIIdetectorat theFermilabTevatroncollider.Wesearchforanenhancementinthemassofthetwoleadingjetsinevents withthreejetsidentifiedascomingfrombquarksusingadisplacedvertexalgorithm.Adata-driven procedureisusedtoestimatethedijetmassspectrumofthenonresonantmultijetbackground.The contributionsofbackgroundsandapossibleHiggsbosonsignalaredeterminedbyatwo-dimensionalfit ofthedata,usingthedijetmasstogetherwithanadditionalvariablewhichissensitivetotheflavor compositionofthethreetaggedjets.Wesetmass-dependentlimitsonðpp!bÞBð!bbÞwhich areapplicableforanarrowscalarparticleproducedinassociationwithbquarks.Wealsosetlimitson taninsupersymmetricHiggsmodelsincludingtheeffectsoftheHiggsbosonwidth.
