Search for a dark matter candidate produced in association with a single top quark in p\bar{p} collisions at \sqrt{s} = 1.96 TeV.

Abstract

Wereportanewsearchfordarkmatterinadatasampleofanintegratedluminosityof77fb1of Tevatronppcollisionsatffisffiffi p ¼196TeVcollectedbytheCDFIIdetector.Wesearchforproductionofa darkmattercandidateDinassociationwithasingletopquark.Weconsiderthehadronicdecaymodeof thetopquarkexclusivelyyieldingafinalstateofthreejetswithmissingtransverseenergy.Thedataare consistentwiththestandardmodelwethusset95confidencelevelupperlimitsonthecrosssectionof theprocesspptþDasafunctionofthemassofthedark-mattercandidate.
