dc.description.abstract
Nowadays as many Grid communities appears, the requirement of a
singlepoint-to-multipoint data transfer in Grid environment is
growing. In a typical LAN or a special purpose network environment,
the multicast technology has been used in such data dissemination
transfer cases. However, the multicast transfer is not able to get
the high-performance like a unicast transfer, and the obligation of a
special hardware setting makes it difficult to implement in a common
Grid environment. Therefore, in this paper we propose an effective
data dissemination mechanism for Grid environments named DDiG(Data
Dissemination mechanism for Grid).
