정보 서비스 시스템 개발 및 운영

Abstract

국내외 과학기술 분야의 학술지, 회의자료, 연구보고서, 학위논문 및 특허 등의 정보를 수집, 가공하여 컴퓨터 데이터베이스로 축적 시켜 이용자 중심의 웹기반 정보검색 인터페이스를 개발하여 R&D 종사자들에게 제공하고 각 데이터베이스의 최신정보를 입수하여 주기적으로 갱신시키고 신청 주제에 따라 맞춤정보를 발송한다. 년간 문헌정보 약450만건, 특허정보 250만건 합계 약700만건의 신규자료를 DB에 축적시켜 총 누적건수 약7,000만건의 정보를 KRISTAL 검색엔진을 활용하여 서비스하고 있다. 입수된 데이터를 레파지토리에 저장시키고 GUI환경으로 편리하게 데이터를 갱신시키는 기능을 개발하였으며, 맞춤정보를 통합된 하나의 데이터베이스에 구축하여 1인당 주 1-2회 발송시키는 새로운 시스템체계를 개발하여 업무 수행 노력과 발송 시간을 절약하였다. 또한 검색된 결과의 디지털 원문을 제공하기 위해 EBSCO, OCLC등과 해외 전자원문 연계서비스 기능을 개발하여 이용자가 편리하게 원문을 입수할 수 있도록 하였다. 과학기술 정보유통체제를 구축하기 위해 도입된 컴퓨터 하드웨어, 시스템소프트웨어 및 데이터베이스 자원의 체계적인 관리와 보호의 임무를 수행하고 국내 정보이용자들이 필요한 정보를 안정적이며 실시간으로 이용할 수 있는 시스템인프라를 제공하였다. 고성능 유닉스 체제의 컴퓨터 서버를 저비용 고성능의 리눅스 체제로 전환하기 위해 pc서버를 30대와 백업용 NAS 10Tb를 도입하여 차기 시스템에 대비한 모델체제를 구축하였다.

Ⅳ. Result of the Study We have provided an infrastructure for users to have access to a stable and real-time information service 24 hours a day throughout the year. We have also constructed a structure for the flow of information through stabilizing the structure for maintaining and securing computer hardware and the system softwares required for the service. We have also adopted 30 NAS storage equipment, 10Tb, for backup purpose and 30 linuz-based pc-servers as the next generation information system model. We have also developed and annually upgraded the application softwares for the on-line scientific technology bibliographic information service to be user-oriented for the information retrieval service and source document service. The database of scientific information has been updated on a weekly or monthly basis to add 4,500,000 bibliographic data and 2,500,000 license-related data, which adds up to a total of 7,000,000 new data being added this year for the retrieval service.
