생물.유전자원 정보네트워크 구축 및 관련기술연구

Abstract

o 국내에서 생물.유전자원정보 DB를 구축할 때 참조 모델이 될 수 있도록 생물 종 정보 38개 항목과 설명정보 46개 항목을 정의하는 XML 스키마를 설계하고 이를 따르는 입력 및 관리시스템을 개발, 배포하였음. o 국내 생물.유전자원정보 네트워크 구축을 위하여 총 5회의 데이터노드 구축을 위한 기술교육 워크숍 개최하여 국립중앙과학관을 포함한 17개 기관, 42명이 참석하였음. o 한국생물다양성정보기구 홈페이지(http://www.kbif.re.kr)를 2003년 6월부터 구축하여 현재까지 운영하고 있으며 국내외의 생물.유전자원정보 뉴스, 동향, 행사, 교육자료,소프트웨어 다운로드 등의 콘텐츠를 제공하고 있음 o 구축된 데이터 노드의 생물다양성데이터를 검색할 수 있는 KBIF 검색포탈을 구축하였음 o GBIF NODES(국가노드관리자위원회) 및 GB(집행이사회)에 참석하여 국제생물다양성정보기구의 활동과 동향을 국내 전문가위원회에 보고하고 KBIF 홈페이지에 홍보하였음. o GBIF 제10차 집행이사회(Governing Board)의 최종결정에 따라, 현재 77개회원국을 대표하는 아시아권역 데이터서비스 기술협력 및 실시간 정보공유 가능한 국제 미러기관으로 한국이 선정되어 생물다양성정보유통의 국제허브기관으로 자리매김할 수 있는 위치를 획득하였음.

Scope of the study o The scope of this project is to research on standardization of data schema and its protocol to exchange biological information and establish prototype network from the information technology perspective. These works could facilitate use of distributed database. The scope of this project also includes the cooperation with relevant international organization in information services.
