전북지역 국가그리드 테스트베드 구축 및 활성화

Abstract

국내‧외 슈퍼컴퓨팅센터간 슈퍼컴퓨팅 기반을 효율적으로 이용하여 유전공학, 생명공학, 유체역학, 기상기후예측 등 기초과학분야의 응용 연구수행이 슈퍼컴퓨터 단일자원으로는 해결하기 어려운 계산과 저장 공간들을 분산시킬 필요가 있다. 따라서 전국에 분산되어 있는 슈퍼컴퓨터의 응용소프트웨어와 하드웨어를 공유하여 사용할 수 있는 환경을 제공함으로써 Gird 응용연구가 활발하게 진행될 수 있도록 하며 전북지역 연구자들에게 활용할 수 있도록 홍보와 활용 방안을 연구 개발한다.

Single Supercomputer is not suitable to complex application research of basic science section such as Genetic engineering, Life science, fluid mechanics and weather prediction using single Supercomputer. So, it is necessary to distribute to solve storage and complex computation problem. This research is to furnish the resource that is able to do actively Grid project as sharing applicable software and hardware of the distributed supercomputer in the whole country
