제4의 물질상태라는 플라즈마는 하전입자로 이루어진 특성 때문에 입자를 가속하여 플라즈마와 접촉한 물체에 에너지를 전달하여 물질 특성의 변화나 가공에 유리할 뿐 아니라 다양한 형태의 광원(Light Source)으로도 사용되고, 화학적으로 강한 반응성을 갖는 반응기(Radicla)을 형성할 때에도 여러가지 장점을 갖기 때문에 산업체에서의 응용분야가 나날이 확산되어 가고 있다.

Since the 4th masterial state, plasma, is composed of charged particles, it has an advantage on transferring the energy to the material contacts with the plasma by accelerating particles. Therefore, it could change the property of matter and process. The plasma also can be used for various forms of the light source and can easily generate the radical, which has chemically strong reactivity. Therefore, its application for the industry is widely spreaded.
