Abstract

(1) 학제간 광역 협업 연구를 위한 가상 병렬컴퓨팅 그리드 구축 및 응용 ● 슈퍼컴퓨터, 고성능 PC 리눅스 클러스터 컴퓨터 등의 이용을 증대 및 사용자 최대지원 성능을 향상시키기 위하여 이들 컴퓨팅 자원들을 연계ㆍ통합하여 가상 병렬 컴퓨팅 그리드 구축 -슈퍼컴퓨터 중심 컴퓨팅 그리드 구축(3개 슈퍼컴퓨터) -고성능 클러스터 중심 컴퓨팅 그리드 구축(3개 고성능 클러스터) -컴퓨팅 그리드 구축 시스템 기술 개발 및 적용(그리드 자원 할당시스템, 그리드 자원 정보 시스템,그리드 보안 시스템 프로토타입 구축 개발) (2) CAVE를 이용한 원격 몰입형 가시화 액세스 그리드 구축 및 응용 개발 ● 전문가들 간의 화상 회의, 연구 결과물을 실물 수준으로 형상화하여 주고 공유토록 하여 주는 가시화 시스템, 그리고 분산된 대규모 데이터들에 대하여 통합 단일 처리를 지원하는 가상 대규모 데이터 저장 장치 관리 시스템으로 구성된 첨단 액세스그리드 구축 -대규모 데이터 액세스 그리드 구축(2개 지역 테라급 데이터 그리드) -협업기반 액세스그리드 구축(2개지역 협업형 액세스그리드 구축) -몰입형 가시화 그리드 구축(2개 지역 몰입형 가시화그리드 구축) -액세스 그리드 구축 시스템 기술 연구(데이터 그리드 구축 시스템, 액세스 그리드 구축 시스템,가시화 그리드 구축 시스템 프로토타입 개발 및 적용) (3) 바이오인포매틱스 그리드 및 All T‘s 중심 그리드 구축 및 응용 기술 개발 ● 고가의 첨단 응용 해석 지원 프로그램을 공통적으로 필요로 하는 연구를 효율적으로 수행하기 위한 응용 그리드 구축 및 그리드 기술 활성화 및 조기 보급을 위한 그리드 시범 응용 발굴 지윈 -응용 그리드 시범 포탈 구축(바이오 등 2개 응용분야) -응용 그리드 시범 테스트베드 구축(바이오 등 2개 응용분야) -그리드 시범 응용 연구(바이오 등 2개 응용 분야) -응용 그리드 구축 시스템 기술 연구(응용 그리드 포탈, 테스트베드, 응용서비스 시스템 프로토타입 구축 및 직용) (4) 그리드 네트워크 구성ㆍ운영(NOC) ● 그리드 기반 구축 및 그리드 응용 연구를 효율적으로 지원하기 위한 논리적 그리드 네트워크를 기존의 초고속 R&D 네트워크를 이용하여 구축하고 그리드 사용자(또는 응용)이 요구하는 네트워크 대역폭 및 QoS를 요구기반으로 실시간 제공하시 위한 관리 시스템 개발 및 작용 -그리드 연구 프로젝트별 응용GRD-Net 구성 - 그리드 NOC 구축(155Mbps 연동) -그리드 서비스를 위한 그리드 이용 기관망 기술 지원(30개 기관) - 기술 지원 및 국내외 R&D 네트워크간 연동 협력(KOREN, APII Testbed, TEIN. STARTAP 등에 참여하는 그리드 연구기관과 그리드 상황판 구축 등 협력 고도화 시스템 구축

(1) Construction and Application of Virtual Parallel Computing Grid for Interdisciplinary Collaboration Research in Remote Areas ● Construction of virtual parallel computing Grid oriented by public Supercomputers and high performance PC Clusters for interdisciplinary collaboration research in remote areas - Build Supercomputer oriented computing Grid(two Supercomputers) - Build high performance Cluster oriented computing Grid(two high performance Clusters ) - Develop and apply computing Grid building system technology(Grid system for resource allocation, Grid system of resource information, constructing and developing prototype of Grid security system) (2) Construction and Application of Access Grid for Remote Immersive Visualization through CAVE ● Construction of scientific visualization application Grid based on immersive virtual reality and construction of both Data Grid and Access Grid for visualizing large scaled data through collaboration - Develop large scaled Data Access Grid(tera-scale Data Grid in two areas) - Develop collaboration based Access Grid(construction of Access Grid through collaboration in two areas) - Develop immersive visualization Grid (construction of immersive visualization Grid in two areas) - Research on Access Grid building system technology(system for Data Grid construction, system for Access Grid construction, development and application of system prototype for visualization Grid construction) (3) Technology Development of Grid Construction and Application oriented by Bioinformatics Grid and All T's ● Pilot Application Grid construction by expanding supports for construction of calculating Grid based on Bio and Middleware of Bioinformatics to All T's (IT, BT, ET, NT, ST, CT) - Build application Grid portal(two application areas including Bio) - Build application Grid testbed(two application areas including Bio) - Grid application research(two application areas including Bio) - Research on Application Grid development system technology(Application Grid portal, testbed, construction and application of prototype for application service system) (4) Grid Network Development and Management(NOC) ● Application GRID-Net Organization of Grid Research Projects - Grid NOC development(155Mbps) - Technology support for networks of institutions using Grid to provide service(30 institutions) - Technology support and collaboration among R&D networks home and abroad.(stimulating collaboration by constructing Grid situation board with Grid research institutes which involve in KOREN, APII Testbed, TEIN and STAT TAP)
