- 유선 인터넷이 사회와 경제, 문화에 큰 변화를 가져다 주었듯이 무선 인터넷이 가져다 줄 사회, 경제, 문화의 변화도 무궁할 것으로 예상되어, 무선 인터넷 기술은 인류의 생활을 바꾸어 줄 최첨단 기술로 주목받고 있다. 세상을 바꿀 수 있는 가장 유망한 기술로 각광 받고 있는 무선인터넷 기술은 단순히 휴대전화통신을 제공하는 제한적인 기술 개념을 벗어나 삶의 양식을 바꿔 놓을 만한 혁신적인 것이며, 관련 산업도 폭발적인 성장을 할 것으로 예상된다.
